What It Is
Recutan is a herbal medicinal solution from Ukraine formulated with chamomile flower extract (1:1). It is traditionally used as supportive therapy in inflammatory conditions across dental, ENT, gastrointestinal, proctological, and gynecological care. Dosage & Administration
Local Use
• Mouth rinses:
Dissolve 2 teaspoons (10 ml) in 200 ml water; rinse several times daily for 2–3 days.
• Periodontitis applications:
Soak sterile tampons in solution and apply to gum pockets for 10–15 minutes daily or every other day for 3–7 days.
• Inhalation:
Dissolve 2 teaspoons (10 ml) in 200 ml water; use as inhalation for up to 10 days.
• Enemas:
Dilute 1–2 teaspoons (5–10 ml) in 200 ml warm water; use after bowel movement daily for 3–4 weeks (up to 6 weeks if necessary).
• Vaginal douches:
Dilute 2–3 tablespoons (30–45 ml) in 1 liter warm water; use 2–3 times daily for 3–4 weeks as directed.
Internal Use
• 1 teaspoon (5 ml) diluted in 100 ml warm water, taken 20–30 minutes before meals, 2–4 times daily.
Duration should be determined by a healthcare professional.
Contraindications & Precautions
Contraindications:
• Hypersensitivity to chamomile or other Asteraceae/Compositae plants (ragweed, chrysanthemum, marigold, daisy)
• Not recommended for children
• Not recommended during pregnancy
Precautions:
• Contains 50% ethanol — consider alcohol content for internal use.
• Avoid driving or operating machinery if dizziness occurs after internal use.
• Discontinue if allergic reactions develop.
